This is a good shot of the sunken ship that forms the North end of the island. No one seems to know the name of the ship, but it is apparent that this 100 ft plus wooden ship grounded on the island and sand and silt piled up around it. This is the stern of the ship, you can easily see the rudder and rudder post, then the stern (moving left to right). At the bottom of the stern is a propeller shaft fitting. At high water I have driven the Stingray between the rudderpost and the stern, kinda tricky!
