"South End"

Yet another shot of the South end of the island. This is a very popular place because you can beach your boat here and not get hammered by yacht and ship wakes. It's really pretty (obviously). It's a great place for the kids to swim (remember, the water is shallow) and it is protected from the occasional summer winds that come up the river. Since it is so popular, it also gets trashed occasionally. I end up picking up quite a bit of garbage here. In fact, I just filled a five gallon bucket with nails from "someone" who burned their waste wood on the beach. Come on people, it doesn't take that long to pull the nails, or come back with a magnet and clean up after yourself. How could you trash such a pretty place?
