Island and Mt. St. Helens

This is a shot of the island from way back showing Mount Saint Helens in the background. You can see it has a nice load of snow already. In this shot you can also see the wingdam, the North end of the island and the "Cliffs of Insanity" on the island. This picture was taken on December 1st, 2003 so the leaf colors are pretty bright.

Compare to this picture taken December 2nd, 2009. Notice that nearly all the foliage is missing in this latter picture, indicating that 2009 was cooler than 2003. Global Warming my ass!
