"Wingdam from Ballooncam"
Here is a shot of the Wingdam taken from my Ballooncam. We are very high up as you can see, I estimate 400 feet.

You can see someone in a boat cruising around. There were a lot of fishermen out on the water when I took this shot, I'm sure they were trying to figure out why I was cruising down the river with double three foot balloons 400 feet above the boat. Well, here is the deal, if the wind blows AT ALL, the balloons are hard to control. It's best when the windspeed is zero. Since there is rarely total calm on the river the only way to do that is to make sure that the platform (the Stingray in this case) where the balloon string terminates is traveling at windspeed as well, so there is no lateral pull on the string, i.e. the balloon string is straight up and down. That's hard to do on land, but easy to do on water, you just use the boat to match the balloon speed (assuming the wind doesn't take the balloon somewhere over land!)
Anyway, I don't care what they think anyway, anyone fishing on the river hasn't spent time looking at the video from my Zissoucam. I haven't seen enough fish to justify all the time the fishermen spend on the river, unless they are really just there for the buzz and not the fish.
