"Southend Channel"

This is a good shot the South end channel when the water is really low. This happens every year around October and lasts until the rains start in November, but it's variable as the tides come in and go out. In the spring the water can be over ten feet deep here, but for most of the year it varies with the tides to between 6 and 3 feet deep. Just barely deep enough to get through with a boat, IF you know where to go. If not, kiss the paint on your prop goodbye. If you look closely you can see Pier 1 and a ship coming up-river just to the left of the beach.
